 e\, Stamp Out Hunger\, on Saturday\, May 10\, 2025. Since 1993\, this food
  drive has helped feed millions of Americans each year. \n\nThe timing is 
 important with food banks\, including RIFA\, running low on donations from
  the winter holidays and with summer approaching\, when most school meal p
 rograms are suspended.\n\nThe letter carriers' Stamp Out Hunger food drive
  is held annually on the second Saturday in May. In the 30 years since “St
 amp Out Hunger” began\, the food drive has collected over 1.9 billion poun
 ds of food for struggling residents.\n\nOn May 10\, as they deliver mail\,
  Jackson letter carriers will collect your donations left in your mailboxe
 s. Residents are encouraged to leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishabl
 e foods\, such as canned soup\, canned vegetables\, canned meats and fish\
 , pasta\, rice\, or cereal in their mailbox before the regular mail delive
 ry on Saturday. These food donations help feed local residents. All donati
 ons are tax-deductible and will be picked up rain or shine.\n\nIn 2024\, J
 ackson residents donated 6\,676 pounds of food to RIFA through the Stamp O
 ut Hunger food drive!
