I am RIFA – Miss Bobbie

Miss Bobbie is a recipient of RIFA’s Senior Staples boxes, and we’re so happy to share a part of her story. The Senior Staples program partners with senior centers in Jackson and surrounding areas to identify food-insecure senior citizens and provide food assistance throughout the year. Every month, Miss Bobbie receives a box of nonperishable food or a bag of fresh produce. 

One day in November, RIFA received a handwritten letter along with a check from Miss Bobbie. In the letter, she shared how much she appreciated RIFA and what it provides for her and other tenants in her community. The letter said,

“My birthday is Nov. 15th and I want to give you my birthday offerings; ‘silver and gold, I have none, but such as I have, give I you’” Acts 3:6-7.”

She signed the letter, “in Jesus’ name; keep carrying on.”
