Meet Shaun Powers, RIFA’s Director of Operations! Shaun joined the staff in May of 2008. Shaun wears many hats at RIFA and we literally couldn't operate without him. He plays a huge role in the food side of things, from coordinating food drives with local schools to organizing the structure-building portion of Canstruction to making sure that our neighbors in need receive the food they need at warming shelters during winter storms. You may even catch him driving the Bus Stop Cafe over school breaks! His favorite part about working at RIFA is getting to work with some of the best people in Jackson. He said, "I’m always amazed at the care and concern they have for people that are overlooked by other people. At the end of the day, knowing that a positive difference has been made in the lives of people in the community is meaningful. I might possibly have the best job in Jackson!"

- The best place he's traveled so far was a trip he took to the Grand Canyon growing up. Shaun said, "It's hard to believe that riding backwards in a station wagon would make the top of the list, but I have great family memories from that trip."
- His favorite sports team is any of his daughters' soccer teams
