Through the Senior Staples ministry, RIFA partners with senior centers in Jackson and surrounding counties to identify senior citizens who are food insecure and provide food assistance throughout the year. These senior citizens may be food insecure for a variety of reasons such as financial limitations, medical problems, or lack of transportation. This ministry aims to make sure that these valued members of our community are not overlooked. Participants will receive a 25-30 pound box of shelf-stable, staple food items to supplement their pantries.
The Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program is a very special part of the Senior Staples ministry. From April-October, RIFA is able to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to the residents of Rosewood Gardens and Centennial Pass in Jackson. The produce is grown locally at Falcon Ridge Farm.
