What We Do

Our Ministries

Here at RIFA, we have eight hunger-fighting ministries that work together to fulfill our mission of reaching out with the love of Christ to help people in need by providing physical and spiritual nourishment.

  • Mobile feeding unit that delivers summer meals at no cost to kids 18 & under within the most vulnerable areas of Jackson.

  • Provides food and other necessities to individuals and families.

  • Distributes food to local nonprofit agencies in Madison County and other surrounding counties.

  • Provides a community-based approach to building the participants’ food security.

  • Distributes staple food items to senior citizens on a monthly basis in partnership with senior centers.

  • Provides kid-friendly, easy-to-prepare food to elementary school children who have little or no food over the weekends.

  • Serves a hot meal for breakfast and lunch daily and dinner at least three nights each week to the hungry in our community.

  • Provides gently used, donated clothing, furniture, and household items at a low cost to the community. The revenue generated by the Thrift Store comes right back into RIFA to provide more meals for our neighbors in need.
