RIFA will partner with the USPS and the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) as they conduct their national food drive, Stamp Out Hunger, on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Since 1993, this food drive has helped feed millions of Americans each year and has grown into the nation's largest one-day food drive.
On May 10, as they deliver mail, Jackson letter carriers will collect your donations left in your mailboxes. Residents are encouraged to leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable foods, such as canned soup, canned vegetables, canned meats and fish, pasta, rice, or cereal in their mailbox before the regular mail delivery on Saturday. These food donations help feed local residents. All donations are tax-deductible and will be picked up rain or shine.
