MINISTRY HIGHLIGHT: Bus Stop Cafe
The Bus Stop Cafe began in 2019 as an answer to the question, “What do the children who receive Snack Backpacks do for food when they’re not in school?”
Enter the Bus Stop Cafe, a converted school bus that provides free meals to children ages 0-18 who live in neighborhoods with high levels of food insecurity.
The Bus Stop Cafe runs Monday-Friday during spring, summer, and fall breaks. During the summer, kids eat on the bus, while during spring and fall breaks they receive a pre-packed meal to-go. Snack Backpacks are distributed to feed the kids over the weekends. This ministry is beloved and a volunteer favorite.
