Due to inclement weather, the RIFA administrative office, Thrift Store, and donation door will be closed Wednesday, February 19th. The Soup Kitchen will be open for regular service times.
The City of Jackson in partnership with Tennessee Homeless Solutions, First United Methodist Church, Area Relief Ministries, RIFA, and West Tennessee Healthcare Hope & Healing Foundation will extend emergency services to provide a Temporary Warming Center for homeless men, women and children for freezing weather days beginning Tuesday night, February 18, 2025, and continuing through Thursday night, February 20, 2025.

RIFA is thrilled to announce Canstruction 2024: An Evening with Mike Goodwin, presented by Foundation Bank. The 19th annual event will be held on Thursday, September 26th, 2024, at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Downtown Jackson.
We’d like to introduce you to RIFA’s Vice President of the Board of Directors, Cassandra Fuller. Serving on the board since July 2021, her term as Board Vice President began July 1st 2023. We’re so thankful to have her in this role. We spoke with Cassandra about how she came to know about RIFA and her involvement with the organization over the past few years.
RIFA hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation Event, presented by Cadence Bank and Love & Truth Church, at Baker Bros. BBQ, Tuesday, April 23rd. The annual event is hosted to thank RIFA’s volunteers and recognize them for their dedication to the organization in the fight against hunger here in our community.
RIFA is excited to partner with the USPS and the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) as they conduct their national food drive, Stamp Out Hunger, on Saturday, May 11, 2024. Since 1993, this food drive has helped feed millions of Americans each year.
RIFA is thrilled to announce a new donor appreciation event, Coffee & Community! The inaugural event was hosted on March 19 at RIFA. It was a joy to spend time with some of our donors and to show our heartfelt appreciation for their support of the mission of RIFA.

Meet Denice Walton, RIFA’s Donor and Community Relations Manager. Instead of our typical interview style, Denice took the time to write her own story. We hope you enjoy learning more about how Denice came to RIFA, her role of sharing RIFA with the community, and, most importantly, how passionate she is about our donors and patrons alike.
As we look forward to fighting hunger together in the coming year, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on 2023 and thank you for the incredible impact were able to make in our community. In 2023, RIFA distributed 611,405 meals to those in need. We could not have done that without your support. Whether it was through monetary donations, food or items donated, volunteering, or your prayers, you enabled us to reach out with the love of Christ to help people in need by providing physical and spiritual nourishment.
